Sankara Nethralaya inaugurated an Experience Centre for People with Low Vision on Wednesday in collaboration with Enablemart. The centre provides assistive technologies and support services during Global Accessibility Awareness Day 2026 celebrations.
Sankara Nethralaya chairman T.S. Surendran inaugurated the centre dedicated to assistive technologies and accessibility solutions for persons with low vision.
The institution also launched the SN Vision Support Club. It offers reading, scribe, navigation and audiobook support services for visually impaired persons.
Accessibility advocate Amit Chaturvedi delivered a talk on inclusion and accessibility for persons with visual impairment at the event.
