Williams has recruited four senior figures from rival Formula 1 teams to strengthen its technical and operational capabilities.

The team announced the appointments on Thursday. Piers Thynne, who served as McLaren’s chief operating officer until earlier this year, will join in August as chief optimisation and planning officer. He will focus on streamlining processes and introducing advanced technologies including robotics and AI.
