Menteri Dalam Negeri Muhammad Tito Karnavian mengapresiasi Parade Tenun di Atambua, Kabupaten Belu, Nusa Tenggara Timur, pada Jumat (26/6/2026).

Kegiatan bertajuk Exotic Tenun: Parade Tenun dan Fashion Show digelar di Pelataran Mal Pelayanan Publik Timor-Atambua. Mendagri menyatakan acara ini melestarikan warisan tenun sekaligus mendorong kreativitas, perekonomian, dan pariwisata daerah.

Mendagri menekankan pentingnya mempertahankan budaya tenun agar tidak diambil pihak luar. Ia juga menyebut kegiatan tersebut membangun kepercayaan diri siswa dari jenjang SD, SMP, dan SMA yang tampil mengenakan busana tenun lokal.

Mendagri berharap festival serupa dipromosikan hingga tingkat internasional untuk meningkatkan kunjungan wisatawan dan Pendapatan Asli Daerah.
