Around 35 passengers were on board at the time of the accident. District administration, police and health department teams reached the spot immediately and started rescue operations. Three passengers were seriously injured, with one referred to PGI Chandigarh and two to Medical College Hamirpur.

Four passengers suffered minor injuries and are being treated at Barsar Hospital. The administration provided immediate medical aid to the injured. Police are investigating the causes of the accident.
