I campi presentano una base drenante coperta da uno strato di 30 cm di ghiaia frantumata. Al di sopra si trova uno strato di 7-8 cm di clinker, seguito da 6-7 cm di calcare frantumato e da un rivestimento finale di 1-2 mm di polvere di laterizio che conferisce il caratteristico colore rosso.
