Guangzhou-based WeRide plans to deploy self-driving taxis and buses on Hong Kong streets this year, while launching Robotaxi GXR services in Singapore on April 1 through Grab. Passengers will be able to hail vehicles via the Grab app, with a safety operator on board initially to comply with local regulations.

Tesla has begun testing its Robotaxi service in Phoenix, Arizona, using a Model Y vehicle equipped with rear camera washers and a California manufacturer license plate. The company had previously announced Phoenix as one of seven planned metro areas for robotaxi coverage in the first half of 2026.

Bank of America analysts have recommended buying Tesla stock, forecasting a price of $460 per share driven by the company's advancements in robotaxis and autonomous driving. This outlook comes despite a decline in Tesla's 2025 vehicle sales, as the firm highlights the potential for robotaxis to account for more than half of the company's valuation. The projection implies about 13% upside from recent trading levels around $402 to $406.

Waymo launched driverless taxi operations in Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, and Orlando on February 24, 2026, bringing its total to 10 cities. The service initially opens to select riders in these areas. Meanwhile, competitor Tesla operates driverless robotaxis in zero cities.

Tesla has reported five additional collisions involving its Austin-based robotaxi fleet in December 2025 and January 2026, bringing the total to 14 incidents since the service launched in June 2025.
