オルタナティブ・ロックバンドのBarbie's Cradleが、新曲「Emergency」をリリースし、8月1日に一夜限りのコンサートを開催する。
前回のリリースから20年以上を経て、Barbie's Cradleが再結成し、新曲のレコーディングを行った。ファーストシングルとなる「Emergency」は、メンバーのKakoy Legaspiが20代の頃に書き上げた楽曲である。
コンサートはサンフアン市のミュージック・ミュージアムで行われる。収益の大部分は、糖尿病の合併症による心臓発作で入院中のベーシスト、Rommel dela Cruzの医療費に充てられる予定だ。
メンバーは、今回の復帰は正式な再結成計画があったわけではなく自然な流れだったと語っており、以前から古い音源などを共有し続けていたという。
