中国水利部は火曜日、2025年末時点で農村部の水道普及率が96％に達したと発表した。大規模な供給プロジェクトが農村人口の71％をカバーし、全県（市・区）の72％で統合管理が導入されている。
2025年末時点で、中国では約382万件の農村給水プロジェクトが実施され、8億5000万人の住民を支えるネットワークが形成された。雨水タンクや貯水槽に頼る人口は、第13次五カ年計画終了時と比べて79％減少した。
第14次五カ年計画期間中、貧困から脱却した地域では総額9149億元の水利投資が行われ、そのうち重点県には1455億元が投じられた。農村部の給水設備建設には5902億8000万元が確保され、その80％を地方債、融資、社会資本で賄った。
同省は、2026年末までに普及率を97％、2030年までに98％へ引き上げることを目指している。
