北海道の山で茶色のクマに遭遇した登山者4人が、約3時間半足止めされた後、ヘリコプターで救助された。けが人はいなかった。
土曜日の午後2時30分、60代の男性が2,141メートルの山を下山中に、約50メートル先で全長約1.5メートルのクマを発見した。他の3人の登山者が合流し、午後4時50分頃に救助要請の電話があった。
警察によると、登山者らはクマのため下山を続けられなかった。救助は日曜日に実施された。
この事件は、知床半島の羅臼岳が日曜日に登山再開した直後に起きた。羅臼岳は昨年8月のクマによる死亡事故以来閉鎖されていた。
