「我々の支援は人工知能（AI）、データ、そして若手起業家を中心に行う」と李委員長は述べ、不必要で時代遅れとなった規制は抜本的に撤廃すると付け加えた。また、同委員長は、金融セクターで起きている変化に積極的に取り組んでいく姿勢も示した。
前日の火曜日、李委員長は青瓦台（大統領府）で行われた国務会議および非常経済点検会議において、李在明（イ・ジェミョン）大統領からの質問に答えた。今回の公約は、金融革新のための規制緩和に対する確固たる決意を裏付けるものである。
