Tourism Minister Supports Work From Mall Amid Year-End Sales Push

Indonesia's Tourism Minister Widiyanti Putri Wardhana endorses the Work From Mall (WFM) campaign under the Work From Anywhere policy, aligning it with the BINA Indonesia Great Sale 2025 to blend holiday leisure with productivity during Christmas and New Year 2025/2026.

Building on the government's year-end economic initiatives highlighted during the December 26 visit to Pondok Indah Mall—targeting Rp110 trillion in public spending—Tourism Minister Widiyanti Putri Wardhana has voiced strong support for the Work From Mall (WFM) campaign, part of the broader Work From Anywhere (WFA) policy.

"We fully support the WFA policy. This step is a strategic solution to combine the Christmas and New Year holiday atmosphere while maintaining professional work productivity," Widiyanti stated in Jakarta on Saturday, December 27, 2025.

WFM ties into the 'BINA Indonesia Great Sale 2025: Shopping Tourism in Indonesia' program, active from December 18, 2025, to January 4, 2026. It spans 80,000 stores, 800 brands, and over 400 shopping centers in 24 provinces, offering 20-80% discounts and an 11% tax refund for international tourists.

The synergy aims to boost tourist movement, consumption, and national economic growth through shopping tourism.
