マルタの金融規制当局は、分散型金融（DeFi）プロジェクトが欧州連合（EU）の暗号資産市場規制（MiCA）規則の対象となり得るかを検討するディスカッションペーパーを公表した。
マルタ金融サービス局（MFSA）は水曜日に同ペーパーを発表した。そこでは、多くのDeFiプロジェクトには管理者キーやガバナンスの集中といった中央集権的な要素が含まれていると指摘されている。
MFSAは、分散化を厳格な二項対立ではなくスペクトラムとして扱うことについて、パブリックコメントを求めている。また、DAO（分散型自律組織）やセグーゲーテッド・セル・カンパニー（SCC）の法的な枠組みについても検討対象となっている。
同ペーパーに対する意見の募集は7月10日まで行われる。さらに同規制当局は、認可を受けた暗号資産企業がDeFiプロトコルと連携する前に、スマートコントラクトの監査を実施すべきかどうかについても問いかけている。
