ソウル国際ブックフェアは、ソウル南部のCOEX展示場で日曜日まで開催されます。第68回目となる今回は、18カ国から538の出版社および業界団体が参加し、326名の作家や講演者が登壇します。前売りチケットは完売しました。
「ホモ・ドゥドゥリ（Homo Duduri）」をテーマに掲げる本フェアでは、人工知能時代における人間であることの意味を検証します。韓国の小説家、金衍洙（キム・ヨンス）は、AIモデルのClaudeおよびGeminiと共同執筆したテーマステートメントの中で、「AIは最も可能性の高い答えで可能性の扉を閉ざす。人間はより大きな問いを投げかけることで、その扉を再び開く」と述べています。
韓国との国交樹立140周年を記念し、フランスがゲスト・カントリー・オブ・オナー（名誉招待国）を務めます。フランスからは小説家のベルナール・ウェルベールらが参加します。AIブームの中での出版業界の課題に関するセミナーも予定されています。
