香港の建設業界は、今週開催される建設業議会（CIC）主催の業界イベントにおいて、AIシステムやロボット技術を体験することになる。
第1回グローバルAI・スマート建設カンファレンスおよび展示会が、6月24日から25日まで香港サイエンスパークで開催される。本イベントは、建設業界の議論を具体的な行動へと移し、すぐに導入可能なソリューションを提供することを目的としている。
香港、中国本土、シンガポールなどから50以上の出展者が参加し、設計から長期運用までを網羅するツールを展示する。また、40名以上の講演者によるセッションが行われるほか、250件以上の応募があった第1回CIC AI賞の授与も予定されている。
建設業議会（CIC）事務局長のアルバート・チェン（Ir Albert Cheng）氏は、展示される技術は実際の現場での適用性を基準に選定されたと述べた。さらに、政府とCICが共同で14億香港ドルを投じ、トレーニングプログラムを通じて地元および中国本土のBIM（ビルディング・インフォメーション・モデリング）プラットフォームの採用を支援していく方針を示した。
