Three Chinese nationals deported over investment visa manipulation

Three Chinese nationals who entered Indonesia on business and pre-investment visas were deported after their documents were found to have been manipulated.

The three Chinese nationals, identified by initials YJ, CN, and LJ, had entered using a Pre-Investment Visit Visa index C12 and Business Visas indices C1 and C2.

Officers at the Class I Special Immigration Office TPI Surabaya detected mismatched guarantor data in the system and identical stamp serial numbers on the applications of YJ and CN.

Immigration Office Head Agus Winarto said the men had no plans to invest or conduct business. They violated Article 122 letter a and Article 123 letter b of Law Number 6 of 2011 on Immigration.

They were deported on Friday through Juanda International Airport on China Southern Airlines flight CZ8138 and barred from re-entering for five years.
