The Electoral Observation Mission and other entities presented updates on the June 21 voting day with alerts over irregularities and isolated disruptions.
The Electoral Observation Mission reported that the process proceeded with general normality across 1,868 observed polling stations. It noted a decrease in campaign badges worn by jurors and witnesses, while flagging a lack of accessible materials for people with disabilities and two cases of discriminatory treatment.
The Attorney General’s Office received 521 reports of conduct that could affect the elections and stated that nearly 14,000 designated jurors failed to appear in 401 municipalities. The Interior Ministry reported 2,612 total complaints, including 153 from abroad.
The Information and Communications Technologies Ministry detected disruptions in telecommunications services in 30 municipalities across 18 departments, with no impact on electoral transmission systems. The National Registry rejected President Gustavo Petro’s claims of flaws in the E-14 forms.
