Heavy vehicle wholesale sales rise 45.5 percent in June

Mexico's heavy vehicle industry reported a rebound in wholesale sales during June, with a 45.5 percent increase compared to the same month last year.

The National Association of Bus, Truck and Tractor-Truck Producers (ANPACT) reported that 3,278 units were sold wholesale in June. This marks an increase from the 2,253 units sold in June 2025. In the January-to-June period, sales reached 14,979 vehicles, up 3.1 percent from the first half of the previous year.

The cargo segment drove performance, with retail sales of 3,194 units, a 3.9 percent annual rise. In contrast, production and exports declined. June assembly totaled 15,262 heavy vehicles, down 7.6 percent year-over-year, while exports fell 3.2 percent.

ANPACT executive president Rogelio Arzate Tapia noted that the positive results confirm the industry's responsiveness. He cautioned, however, that sustaining the momentum will depend on a stable environment amid the United States government's review of the USMCA. The group also voiced concern over imports of used vehicles from the United States.
