Norton reveals Atlas GT as new adventure bike variant

Norton Motorcycles has introduced the Atlas GT, a street-oriented version of its middleweight adventure motorcycle. The model shares much of its design with the standard Atlas but features key differences for sportier handling.

The Atlas GT uses a 17-inch front wheel and shorter-travel suspension compared to the Atlas. It is powered by a 585 cc parallel twin engine that produces 69 hp at 9,300 rpm and 42 lb-ft of torque at 7,500 rpm.

A six-speed transmission with a bi-directional quick shifter is paired to the engine. The steel trellis chassis includes a 43 mm KYB fork and adjustable monoshock, while braking is handled by dual 310 mm front discs and a 270 mm rear disc.

Electronics include an IMU-based suite with lean-sensitive traction control, ABS, cruise control, and hill-hold assist. An eight-inch touchscreen supports navigation and smartphone connectivity.

The Atlas GT is offered in Trophy Silver, Matrix Black, Sinopia Orange, and Verona Green. Norton has not announced pricing or exact US availability dates, though the standard Atlas is expected to arrive first.
