I understand that President Putin's agenda is very busy," Prabowo said.
Prabowo explained that in recent months, numerous Russian delegations from government and business sectors have visited Jakarta. The Indonesian government has connected national companies with Russian partners to accelerate strategic cooperation, showing positive developments. Relations between Indonesia and Russia are considered very good.
On that occasion, Prabowo invited Putin to visit Indonesia, jokingly saying not to go only to India. "We hope Your Excellency can visit Indonesia, don't just go to India," Prabowo stated. The invitation is open for 2026 or 2027, depending on Putin's schedule. Putin responded positively: "Thank you. I will definitely come."
The meeting also covered strengthening strategic partnerships in defense, energy, and technology, as well as expanding economic collaboration at the industrial level. Prabowo hopes this close relationship will continue through a state visit.
