In the eighth, after a Japanese miss, Wranå's shot delivered a rare five-point steal for Sweden. Japan played the ninth end before conceding, allowing the team—Isabella Wranå, Almida de Val, Maria Larsson, Linda Stenlund, and reserve Moa Dryburgh—to celebrate. “We are just so happy,” Wranå said in the post-match interview. “Our goal has been to win a medal. Of course we wanted to be in the final but we are so happy about today's match and that we took the bronze.” This was team Wranå's first senior world championships, following two junior WM medals. “I am very, very proud of my team, they have played so well all week,” Wranå added. The bronze is Sweden's first women's WM medal since 2019. Swedish curling has seen recent successes, including Wranå's Olympic gold with brother Rasmus and European golds for other teams. Canada and Switzerland meet in the final. Wranå promised: “You will see more of us.”
