James Radford, 40, was arrested on April 11, 2025, and charged with reckless homicide in the April 11, 2016, death of his 25-year-old wife. He had told police that Sabrina Radford shot herself in the chest during an argument at their home in Fairbanks, Wisconsin, after he confronted her about infidelity and threatened divorce.
Investigators later determined there was no blood or blowback on the gun's muzzle, and that Sabrina Radford was holding her phone at the time of her death. These findings led authorities to conclude she could not have shot herself.
Radford pleaded not guilty to the charge, which includes a modifier for the use of a deadly weapon. He remains held on $800,000 bond in the Shawano County Jail. His next court date is scheduled for Aug. 6.
