Innsatte spiser silikonlister for å snakke med nabocellen

Kriminalomsorgen advarer om økt uautorisert kommunikasjon mellom innsatte i varetektsfengsler. Antall rapporter har mer enn doblet seg på fem år, og innsatte tar i bruk nye metoder som å tygge av tetningslister.

I nybygde modulbaserte anlegg som Hinseberg fengsel utenfor Örebro er det nok å heve stemmen for å bli hørt gjennom veggene. Lignende problemer eksisterer i Nyköping, Ystad og Göteborg. Adrian Russo, fengselsleder ved Hinseberg, kaller det et merkbart problem.

Christoffer Sunesson, enhetsleder i Kriminalomsorgen, forteller at de innsatte tygger av svarte silikonlister som ligner på lakrisremser. Sprekkene som oppstår gjør at de kan snakke med nabocellen uten at personalet merker det.

Antall rapporter om uautorisert kommunikasjon økte fra 779 i 2022 til 1632 i fjor. Nesten 6000 slike rapporter er registrert over en femårsperiode. Metoder som å bruke toalettrør har eksistert lenge, men blir nå supplert med nye triks.
