Intagna på häkten äter silikonlister för att prata med grannar

Kriminalvården larmar om ökande otillåten kommunikation mellan intagna på häkten. Rapporterna har mer än fördubblats på fem år och intagna använder nya metoder som att tugga bort tätningslister.

På nybyggda modulhus som häktet Hinseberg utanför Örebro räcker det att höja rösten för att höras genom väggarna. Liknande problem finns i Nyköping, Ystad och Göteborg. Adrian Russo, kriminalvårdschef på Hinseberg, kallar det ett påtagligt problem.

Christoffer Sunesson, enhetschef vid Kriminalvården, berättar att intagna käkar upp svarta silikonlister som liknar lakritsremmar. Gliporna som uppstår gör det möjligt att prata med cellgrannar utan att personalen märker det.

Antalet rapporter om otillåten kommunikation ökade från 779 år 2022 till 1632 förra året. På fem år har närmare 6000 sådana rapporter upprättats. Metoder som att använda toalettledningar har funnits länge men har nu kompletterats med nya knep.
