SiS-rapport vill se färre avskiljningar av barn

Statens institutionsstyrelse, SiS, konstaterar i en ny rapport att många avskiljningar och fysiska ingripanden mot barn hade kunnat undvikas. Mellan 2023 och 2025 genomfördes över 2 800 avskiljningar.

Rapporten visar att nästan var tredje åtgärd eventuellt hade kunnat förebyggas. Flickor drabbades särskilt hårt, då de stod för 63 procent av avskiljningsbesluten trots att de var färre än pojkarna.

En ung kvinna som kallar sig Emma berättar om sin tid på ett SiS-hem som 17-åring. Hon upplevde mycket våld och kände sig helt utan stöd.

– Jag kände mig hopplös, maktlös och ensam, säger hon.

Ungdomsvårdsdirektör Birgitta Dahlberg uppger att SiS arbetar för att individanpassa vården bättre, särskilt för flickor som isoleras ofta.
