Tesla released update 2026.2, which contains various minor features not mentioned in the official release notes. Among the changes, the Autopilot tab under Controls has been renamed Self-Driving. Similarly, the Autopilot menu's “Autopilot Features” section is now called “Self-Driving Features,” allowing selection between TACC, Autosteer, or Full Self-Driving options under this menu, aligning with recent naming updates in the system. This reflects Tesla's ongoing rebranding efforts for its driving assistance technologies. Published on March 16, 2026, the update also alters how map versions appear in the Software menu. Previously, it listed the full details including region, version, and build; now it shows only the region and version, for example, NA-2025.44. A notable addition expands 3D Supercharger site maps to Europe, following their debut in 18 U.S. sites during the 2025 Holiday Update. New maps cover at least two sites in Belgium: Brugge and Heusden-Zolder. These 3D layouts depict accurate site configurations, including charger positions relative to parking spots, handicap- and trailer-friendly stalls. Coupled with live data, they indicate occupied spots and display 3D models of charging Tesla vehicles or generic models for non-Tesla EVs. While 3D models require vehicles with AMD Ryzen infotainment units, the maps are viewable by anyone searching the location. In Service Mode, the ECU Update Status panel now incorporates non-Controller Area Network (CAN) Electronic Control Units, such as Autopilot processors and the Telematics Control Unit (TCU). This applies to Model S (2021+), Model 3, Model X (2021+), Model Y, and Cybertruck. Meanwhile, Tesla has begun rolling out update 2026.8, which includes Comfort Braking limited to the new Model Y due to its braking system.
