Alfa Laval secures record 1.1 billion kronor order

Alfa Laval has received an order worth 1.1 billion kronor to supply equipment for a biofuel refinery in Brazil. The deal marks the company's largest order to date.

Alfa Laval will deliver pretreatment systems to the facility built by Acelen, a company owned by Mubadala Capital headquartered in Abu Dhabi. The systems include heat exchangers, separators and custom components for processing vegetable oils such as soybean oil and used cooking oil.

The Brazilian refinery is being constructed at a total cost of 30 billion kronor and will focus on aviation fuel production. Alfa Laval deliveries are scheduled through 2029.

In a press release Alfa Laval called the order a significant step in its renewable energy efforts. The share price rose marginally on Monday morning.
