Fifth place was shared by Palangkaraya and Kapuas Hulu in Kalimantan at 35.2 degrees Celsius. Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo, met in Pondok Rangon, Cipayung, East Jakarta on Wednesday, remarked, “Kota boleh panas, tapi hati tetap dingin,” or 'The city can be hot, but hearts stay cool.' He added that the provincial government has no plans for weather modification or artificial rain. “Jakarta masih belum memerlukan dibuat hujan buatan,” he said, meaning 'Jakarta does not yet need artificial rain made.'
