Ameaça de bomba suspende aulas presenciais na UABC Mexicali

Uma ameaça de bomba que circulou nas redes sociais interrompeu as aulas presenciais no campus de Mexicali da Universidad Autónoma de Baja California (UABC). A universidade ativou protocolos de segurança e coordenou com as autoridades estaduais a inspeção das instalações. A universidade declarou que as ações preventivas começaram às 6h30, em coordenação com as autoridades de segurança estaduais. "Seguindo suas recomendações, decidimos tomar precauções extremas enquanto uma revisão completa é realizada para garantir a segurança total", compartilhou a instituição.

Alguns estudantes chegaram às salas de aula sem saber do alerta e foram orientados a retornar para assistir às aulas online. As inspeções cobrem a Faculdade de Artes, Faculdade de Pedagogia e Inovação Educacional, Faculdade de Ciências Políticas e Sociais, Faculdade de Línguas, Faculdade de Esportes e os laboratórios de engenharia.

Investigadores estão rastreando a origem da mensagem, que alarmou a comunidade universitária, suas famílias, bem como moradores e empresas vizinhas. A UABC alertou que qualquer ameaça direta ou indireta resultará em sanções institucionais, incluindo expulsão, e medidas legais junto à Fiscalía General del Estado de Baja California (FGE BC), onde uma queixa será apresentada.
