Centre clears financial approval for 28 Delhi projects

The Centre has approved ₹1,647 crore for 28 projects proposed by the Delhi government under the SASCI scheme.

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced the approval on Sunday. The projects cover Delhi Metro works, the Barapullah Elevated Corridor, Karawal Nagar flyover, EV charging stations at DTC depots and other road infrastructure.

The Centre also granted an additional incentive of ₹756 crore in recognition of the Delhi government's capital expenditure efforts. The total assistance aims to speed up development across the capital.

Under the SASCI scheme, states and union territories receive interest-free assistance for infrastructure. The Finance Department will coordinate with concerned departments to ensure swift progress.
