Codelco aumenta lucros em 288% com a alta nos preços do cobre

A Codelco relatou um aumento acentuado nos lucros do primeiro trimestre, impulsionado pelos preços mais altos do cobre, apesar de uma queda em sua própria produção.

A mineradora estatal chilena registrou um salto de 288% nos lucros antes dos impostos, atingindo US$ 825 milhões. O lucro consolidado subiu 402%, para US$ 306 milhões, enquanto o lucro atribuível aumentou 380%, chegando a US$ 290 milhões.

O Ebitda cresceu 59%, alcançando US$ 2,143 bilhões, principalmente devido aos preços mais altos do cobre e de subprodutos como o molibdênio. As contribuições ao tesouro chegaram a US$ 430 milhões, um aumento de 94% em relação ao primeiro trimestre de 2025.

A produção própria de cobre caiu 8,1%, para 272.000 toneladas. O presidente executivo, Rubén Alvarado, afirmou que os resultados refletem um trimestre exigente e que o foco permanece na continuidade operacional e no controle de custos.
