Sébastien Vaniček, director of Evil Dead Burn, stated that the movie's post-credit scene was required by the production studio.
Vaniček explained that the scene resulted from a studio demand.
He noted that the production gave him freedom to make the film he wanted in exchange for including the scene.
"That’s the demand production had, and since they allowed me to do the movie I had in mind, they just gave me all the freedom I wanted," Vaniček said.
The director added that he did not know the studio's plans for the scene or its connection to other projects.
