Hedemora introduces new stormwater tax from June

Hedemora municipality is introducing a new stormwater fee from June 1 to handle increased rainfall and reduce flood risks.

Hedemora Energi announced the measure in a press release. Property owners in selected areas will pay the fee to fund a modernized stormwater system.

The step is motivated by a changing climate with more intense cloudbursts. The municipality wants to strengthen stormwater management for a more sustainable system.
