KAI Commuter confirmed that Rangkasbitung line KRL services resumed on Monday evening after flooding on the Kebayoran-Pondok Ranji track subsided. Operations proceed at limited speed for safety. Prior disruptions included overhead power outage from lightning strike.

Heavy rain on Monday, May 4, 2026, flooded the Kebayoran-Pondok Ranji track in Jabodetabek and disrupted Overhead Power Supply (LAA) at Jurangmangu-Pondok Ranji due to lightning-induced sparks. KAI Commuter rerouted services: trains from Rangkasbitung/Parungpanjang ended at Serpong Station, while those from Tanah Abang stopped at Kebayoran Station. Disruptions began at 16:30 WIB, causing passenger buildup at stations like Tanah Abang and Kebayoran.

KAI Commuter Public Relations Manager Leza Arlan said, "Ketinggian air masih di atas sehingga tidak memungkinkan untuk dilalui oleh Commuter Line." Teams worked to restore services as quickly as possible.

By 20:06 WIB, flooding receded and LAA power resumed, allowing Rangkasbitung line KRL to pass at limited 5 km/h speed. "Perjalanan Commuter Line, di lokasi genangan air perjalanannya masih dilakukan pembatasan kecepatan 5 Km/jam," Leza Arlan stated.

KAI Commuter continues clearing backlogs and monitoring conditions, urging passengers to prioritize safety and check updates via C-Access app or @commuterline account. "Kami mohon maaf atas kendala operasional dan keterlambatan perjalanan Commuter Line Rangkasbitung pada malam hari ini," Leza added.
