LENTE holds further voter education sessions in Tawi-Tawi on April 12 for 2026 BARMM elections

Building on prior sessions at TRAC and MSU-Tawi-Tawi, the Legal Network for Truthful Elections (LENTE) conducted morning and afternoon voter education sessions on April 12 in Tawi-Tawi for the 2026 BARMM elections. Students from History, Education, Business Management, and Political Science engaged in discussions on the BARMM parliamentary system and electoral challenges like vote-buying and disinformation.

These April 12 sessions followed the previous day's activities at Mindanao State University (MSU)-Tawi-Tawi and earlier ones at TRAC, part of LENTE's voter education rollout in Tawi-Tawi. Participants from various departments deepened their knowledge of the BARMM parliamentary system, the 2026 elections, and the value of informed voting.

Facilitated by Atty. Helen Graido and Ms. Louwallien Donnah Velez of LENTE, the discussions highlighted key issues including abuse of state resources, vote-buying, and disinformation to foster responsible voter participation.

This continues LENTE's April efforts across the Bangsamoro region, in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), to empower voters ahead of the elections.
