Cidadão do Malawi aguarda quatro dias por bagagem em centro de repatriação

Um cidadão do Malawi passou quatro dias no centro de repatriação temporária de Musina, em Limpopo, aguardando a chegada de sua bagagem vinda da embaixada do Malawi em Gauteng.

O homem disse que ele e outros deixaram suas malas na embaixada em Sandton antes de embarcar em um ônibus. As autoridades lhes disseram que a bagagem seguiria em um ônibus separado.

“Já se passaram quatro dias”, disse ele. “Minhas roupas, eu as deixei em Sandton, lá. Eles me disseram: ‘Vá. Eu enviarei suas roupas em outro ônibus’.”

Ele acrescentou que, quando o ônibus chegou ao centro, ele perguntou ao motorista sobre a bagagem, mas o motorista disse que não sabia de nada e sugeriu ligar para Sandton.

A primeira-ministra de Limpopo, Phophi Ramathuba, declarou separadamente que o fato de alguns sul-africanos abrigarem imigrantes sem documentos está agravando os problemas de imigração da província.
