Manuela Martelli estreia com sucesso em Cannes com El deshielo

A cineasta chilena Manuela Martelli estreou seu segundo longa-metragem, El deshielo, nesta quinta-feira no Festival de Cannes 2026. O filme recebeu uma calorosa ovação do público no Debussy Hall.

Martelli apresentou o filme ambientado em 1992, que acompanha uma menina chilena de dez anos e sua amizade com um esquiador alemão em um hotel de esqui na Cordilheira dos Andes. A história explora o desaparecimento da jovem e segredos familiares ocultos.

A diretora destacou o esforço da equipe. “É muito gratificante ter o filme aqui. E é também muito gratificante para todas as pessoas que trabalharam no filme, que o fizeram com sangue, suor e lágrimas”, disse Martelli.

A produtora Alejandra García observou que os aplausos foram longos e bonitos. O filme, produzido pela Ronda Cine, Wood Producciones e parceiros internacionais, terá exibições adicionais na sexta-feira, 15 de maio, e no sábado, 16 de maio.
