Manuela Martelli debuta con éxito en Cannes con El deshielo

La cineasta chilena Manuela Martelli estrenó su segundo largometraje El deshielo este jueves en el Festival de Cannes 2026. La película recibió una ovación cálida del público en la Sala Debussy.

Martelli presentó la cinta ambientada en 1992, que sigue a una niña chilena de diez años y su amistad con una esquiadora alemana en un hotel de esquí en la Cordillera de los Andes. La historia explora la desaparición de la joven y secretos familiares ocultos.

La directora destacó el esfuerzo del equipo. “Es muy gratificante tener la película acá. Y es muy gratificante también por toda la gente que trabajó en la película, que lo hicieron con sangre, sudor y lágrimas”, dijo Martelli.

La productora Alejandra García señaló que el aplauso fue largo y precioso. La cinta, producida por Ronda Cine, Wood Producciones y socios internacionales, tendrá funciones adicionales el viernes 15 y sábado 16 de mayo.
