O Ministério de Minas e Energia revelou avanços em uma interconexão elétrica binacional com a Venezuela a partir do departamento de Vichada. A medida visa fortalecer a confiabilidade do serviço e promover o desenvolvimento econômico na região.

Durante a socialização da Usina Solar El Merey, o ministro Edwin Palma destacou que Vichada se tornará um território estratégico para a integração energética. A usina fornecerá 5 megawatts e beneficiará mais de 1.600 usuários em Puerto Carreño.

O governador Fulberto Guevara descreveu o anúncio como uma data histórica para Puerto Carreño. Ele observou que isso resolverá problemas de energia que afetam o bem-estar dos residentes há décadas.

Além disso, foram reportados quatro projetos solares concluídos que atendem 1.767 usuários e mais de 6.185 pessoas. Outros dois projetos estão em andamento para 359 usuários e seis iniciativas possuem recursos do Sistema General de Regalías totalizando mais de 40,797 milhões de pesos.
