One of One partners with iRead to promote reading and cultural awareness in Egypt

One of One has announced a cultural partnership with iRead, a platform dedicated to promoting reading and knowledge across the Arab region. The collaboration seeks to foster reading habits, enhance focus and critical thinking amid digital distractions, and create opportunities for dialogue and cultural engagement. It kicked off with a discussion session featuring novelist Ahmed Mourad.

The cultural partnership between One of One and iRead launched with a discussion session titled 'How to Regain Our Ability to Read, Focus, and Think Deeply in the Age of Digital Distraction,' featuring novelist Ahmed Mourad. The session examined the impacts of excessive smartphone use on attention spans and cognitive abilities, emphasizing reading as a means to bolster focus and awareness.

Under the initiative, One of One supplied iRead platform subscriptions to Al-Nas Hospital, enabling patients and medical staff to access educational and cultural materials.

The signing ceremony took place at the Town Hall of the Bridges project in Sheikh Zayed, attended by representatives from both organizations, along with public figures, publishers, and cultural professionals, including Ambassador Diaa Hamad and writer-producer Hisham Soliman. The event highlighted the value of incorporating reading into everyday routines.

Engy El-Sabban, co-founder of iRead, stated that the partnership supports the platform's mission to establish reading as a sustainable habit and enhance cultural awareness. She noted its emphasis on fostering meaningful interactions with books through interactive events involving authors and content creators.

Ahmed Mourad stressed the need to nurture regular reading practices in the fast-paced digital world, portraying the partnership as a way to merge human development with cultural involvement.

This collaboration aligns with One of One's approach to integrating cultural and educational programs into its broader community efforts, creating spaces that encourage learning, reflection, and critical thinking alongside its urban development initiatives.
