Phase 2 voting underway for 2026 MLB All-Star Game

Fans are casting votes in Phase 2 of the 2026 MLB All-Star ballot to determine starters for the July 14 game at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia. The finalists at each position seek to join Dodgers designated hitter Shohei Ohtani and Blue Jays second baseman Ernie Clement in the starting lineups.

Phase 2 voting opened after Ohtani and Clement secured automatic starting spots by leading their leagues in Phase 1. The ballot remains available online and through MLB apps until noon ET on Thursday, with fans permitted one vote per day.

In the American League, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. leads first base voting with 55 percent while Bobby Witt Jr. holds 72 percent at shortstop. Mike Trout tops outfield voting despite a recent hamstring injury that placed him on the injured list.

National League leaders include Freddie Freeman at first base with 59 percent and Ozzie Albies at second base with 62 percent. Drake Baldwin leads catcher voting for the NL at 61 percent.

The results reflect the first day of Phase 2 balloting across both leagues.
