Ministra sul-africana rejeita compensação para nigerianos

A Ministra na Presidência da África do Sul, Khumbudzo Ntshavheni, reafirmou que seu governo não compensará nigerianos que deixaram propriedades para trás após ataques recentes. Ela respondeu às críticas do ex-senador Shehu Sani no sábado.

Ntshavheni fez os comentários durante uma coletiva de imprensa na sexta-feira e os repetiu no sábado. Ela afirmou que apenas propriedades legalmente registradas se qualificam para venda no mercado e que estruturas informais não são elegíveis para compensação.

A ministra acrescentou que “não gaguejou” ao rejeitar a ideia pela primeira vez. Ela também solicitou informações sobre supostas bocas de fumo operadas por nigerianos para que as autoridades pudessem intervir.

Autoridades nigerianas haviam dito anteriormente que planejavam documentar ativos abandonados para buscar uma possível compensação. Shehu Sani criticou a posição de Ntshavheni nas redes sociais, classificando-a como inadequada para uma autoridade de alto escalão.
