Kia debuted the redesigned 2027 Seltos SUV, including a new hybrid variant, alongside the North American debut of the all-electric 2027 EV3 at the 2026 New York International Auto Show. The Seltos features increased interior space and advanced tech, while the EV3 offers up to 320 miles of range. Both models are set to arrive in the US later in 2026.
Kia introduced the updated 2027 Seltos at the New York Auto Show, with a wheelbase extended by 2.4 inches for more rear legroom, headroom, and shoulder room. Cargo capacity now reaches 64.1 cubic feet behind the first row and 27.8 cubic feet behind the second. Ground clearance has improved to 8.1 inches. The interior includes dual 12.3-inch displays, over-the-air updates, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a generative AI assistant activated by 'Hey, Kia.' Kia Connect enables remote features like door lock and climate control via smartphone. Powertrains comprise a 2.0-liter 147-hp naturally aspirated engine with CVT, a 1.6-liter 190-hp turbo with 8-speed automatic and AWD, and a new 1.6-liter hybrid with 6-speed dual-clutch transmission, available in FWD or e-AWD. Combustion versions launch in Q2 2026 around $25,000, with the hybrid in Q4. Meanwhile, the 2027 EV3, previously launched in Europe and South Korea, makes its US debut. Built on a 400-volt E-GMP platform, it offers a 58.3 kWh battery for about 220 miles of range or an 81.4 kWh pack for up to 320 miles. Configurations include 201-hp front-wheel drive or up to 288-hp all-wheel drive in the GT model. It features a NACS port for 10-80% charging in around 30 minutes, vehicle-to-load, and optional vehicle-to-home capabilities. Infotainment mirrors the EV9 with customizable themes. Kia expects the EV3 in late 2026, targeting around $35,000.
