DPR Holds Coordination Meeting with BGN on Free Nutritious Meal Program

DPR RI leaders held a coordination meeting with the National Nutrition Agency on 29 June 2026 to discuss the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meal Program.

The meeting took place at the Nusantara II Building, Senayan, Central Jakarta and was led by DPR RI Deputy Speaker Sufmi Dasco Ahmad. Also present were BGN Head Nanik S Deyang, BGN Deputy Head Agustina Arumsari and retired Maj. Gen. Trenggono.

Discussions covered the MBG program's goals to prevent malnutrition, improve child growth and reduce stunting rates. The program also aims to help schoolchildren learn with adequate nutrition and to empower local MSMEs, farmers, breeders and fishers.

Dasco stressed that the DPR will continue to oversee the program's implementation. "Essentially, the DPR RI in accordance with its duties and functions will continue to supervise and provide assistance so that this pro-people program can run well," he said.
