Vissa Xbox-spelare som förhandsbokade Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight fick tidig tillgång till hela spelet under helgen. Problemet härrörde från digitala förhandsbokningskoder från Walmart som låste upp titeln före dess utgivningsdatum den 22 maj. Samtidigt har pc-versionen utrustats med kopieringsskyddet Denuvo.

Spelare rapporterade att de kunde ladda ner och starta hela spelet på Xbox Series X/S efter köp via Walmart. Skärmdumpar som delats på Reddit visade laddningsskärmen, startmenyn och den inledande nivån. Tillgången var begränsad till standardutgåvan och påverkade inte pc-versionerna.
