Dangote anatoa ahadi ya kujenga kisasa cha mafuta nchini Afrika Mashariki

Mkulima Bihiari wa Nigeria, Aliko Dangote, amewahakikishia Marais William Ruto wa Kenya na Yoweri Museveni wa Uganda kuwa atajenga kisasa cha mafuta sawa na kilichopo Lagos ikiwa watatoa msaada. Kisasa hicho kitajengwa eneo la Tanga nchini Tanzania, pamoja na bomba la mafuta kuunganisha na Mombasa. Ahadi hii ilitolewa katika Mkutano wa Afrika We Build 2026 Nairobi leo.

Aliko Dangote alitoa ahadi hii wakati wa Mkutano wa Afrika We Build 2026 uliofanyika Nairobi Aprili 23, akihudhuria na viongozi wa viwanda kutoka Afrika na nje. "Hata sasa, naweza kuwahakikishia marais wawili walio hapa. Ikiwa wataunga mkono kisasa hicho, tutajenga kingine sawa na chenye Nigeria," alisema Dangote.

Kisasa cha Tanga kitafanikiwa kutoa dizeli, petroli na mafuta ya ndege ndani ya eneo hilo, na hivyo kumaliza utegemezi wa kuagiza kutoka nje unaoathiri bajeti za kaya na gharama za biashara. Kitakuwa sawa na kisasa cha Lagos chenye thamani ya dola bilioni 20, kilichofunguliwa Mei 2023 na kufikia uendeshaji kamili Februari 2026, kikichakata mapipa 650,000 kwa siku.

Dangote Group ina mpango wa uwekezaji dola bilioni 40 hadi 2030 katika sekta mbalimbali ikijumuisha petrokemikali na mbolea. Aidha, Dangote anapanua kisasa cha Nigeria hadi mapipa milioni 1.4 kwa siku, na kuwa cha kwanza duniani. Rais Ruto amehabarisha kuwa serikali ya Kenya inawekeza katika kisasa cha Uganda Hoima chenye gharama dola bilioni 4.

Dangote alilaani mfumo wa kiuchumi wa Afrika unaotegemea kuuza malighafi na kuagiza bidhaa zilizosha.
