Mahakama Kuu inasimamisha uondoaji wa uthibitisho wa KIM

Mahakama Kuu ya Milimani imetoa amri za kusimamisha kwa muda uamuzi wa Mamlaka ya Mafunzo ya Ufundi na Vyeo (TVETA) wa kuondoa uthibitisho wa Kenya Institute of Management (KIM), na kusimamisha kufunga kampasi. Jaji Musyoka alithibitisha kesi hiyo kuwa ya dharura na kuruhusu KIM kuanza taratibu za mapitio ya kimahakama tarehe 22 Aprili. programu zinatumika kama kawaida hadi kesi itasikilizwa.

Tarehe 22 Aprili, Jaji Musyoka wa Mahakama Kuu ya Milimani alisoma na kufikiria cheti cha dharura, ombi la chumba, taarifa ya kisheria na kiapo cha uthibitisho pamoja na viambatanisho. Aliruhusu KIM kuanzisha taratibu za mapitio ya kimahakama dhidi ya uamuzi wa TVETA wa kuondoa leseni yake ya uendeshaji, na kusimamisha amri ya kufunga kampasi na kuondoa vyeti vilivyotolewa tangu 2018.

Uamuzi wa TVETA wa tarehe 20 Aprili ulikuwa kwa sababu KIM haikufuata Sheria ya TVET, ikitumia mitihani ya ndani badala ya usimamizi wa nje kulingana na leseni ya 2019, na programu za diploma (Ngazi 6) hazijapewa idhini ya mitaala. TVETA pia ina wasiwasi juu ya ushirikiano wa KIM na Management University of Africa (MUA) mwaka 2022.

Mkurugenzi Mtendaji wa KIM, Muriithi Ndegwa, alisema wamekuwa wakishirikiana na TVETA. Afisa wa KIM alisema programu zinaendelea. Wanafunzi wamelalamika kuwa wanaofanyiwa na 10,000 wanafunzi na zaidi ya 100,000 wahitimu katika matawi 14.

Jaji Musyoka aliamuru ombi kuu liwasilishwe ndani ya siku saba, na kesi itatajwa tarehe 29 Aprili 2026.
