Mazishi ya Johana Ng’eno yatakuwa Ijumaa baada ya misa ya kumbukumbu

Familia ya Mbunge marehemu wa Emurua Dikirr, Johana Ng’eno, imethibitisha mazishi yatakuwa Ijumaa, Machi 6, baada ya ajali ya helikopta iliyotokea Februari 28 katika Kaunti ya Nandi. Kulingana na ratiba, misa ya kumbukumbu itaandaliwa Jumatano, Machi 4, katika Kanisa la Nairobi Baptist, ikiruhusu viongozi, marafiki na wananchi kutoa hekima zao Nairobi. Vigil usiku utafanyika Alhamisi, Machi 5, kulingana na mila za Kipsigis.

Gavana wa Narok, Patrick Ole Ntutu, ambaye ni baba mkwe wa Ng’eno, alisema miili ya Ng’eno na Wycliffe Kiprotich Rono itawekwa nyumbani kwake usiku wa Alhamisi kwa sababu waliooana kulingana na mila za Kipsigis. Miili mingine minne ya wanaume ambao hawakuolewa italetwa nyumbani kwa Ng’eno.

Rais William Ruto alitembelea familia nyumbani kwao Karen, Nairobi, Machi 2, na kusema alipokea habari za kifo kwa huzuni kubwa. “Bwana Ng’eno alifanya vizuri. Alichangia ustawi wa jamii, taifa na binadamu,” alisema Rais. Aliongeza kuwa Ng’eno alikuwa na nafasi muhimu katika Kamati ya Bunge ya Idara ya Makazi, Mipango Miji na Miradi ya Umma, akiunga mkono programu ya Makazi ya Bei Nafuu ya serikali.

Gavana Ntutu aliwahimiza wanasiasa wote kuhudhuria mazishi lakini alitoa onyo dhidi ya propaganda inayohusu kifo cha Ng’eno na siasa wakati wa mazishi. Viongozi walihudhuria mkutano ni pamoja na Gavana wa Bomet Hillary Barchok, Mbunge wa Wanawake wa Narok Rebecca Tonkei, na wengine.
