Mamlaka ya Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) imetangaza kurejeshwa kwa trafiki katika Globe Roundabout kando ya Thika Superhighway. Barabara hiyo ilifungwa kwa wiki mbili ili kurekebisha Nairobi River Bridge. Wafanyabiashara na abiria sasa wanaweza kusafiri bila vizuizi.

Katika tangazo la Machi 25, KeNHA ilisema trafiki imerejeshwa kabisa katika Globe Roundabout (A2). “Mamlaka ya Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) inatakia kuwajulisha madereva na umma kwamba mtiririko wa trafiki katika Globe Roundabout kando ya Thika Superhighway (A2) umerejeshwa,” KeNHA iliandika katika taarifa hiyo. “Madereva sasa wanaweza kuanza kusafiri kawaida katika sehemu hii.” Barabara ilifungwa tarehe 12 Machi kwa kazi za kurekebisha Nairobi River Bridge, na kusababisha msongamano mkubwa kwenye Thika Superhighway, Kipande Road na barabara zingine zinazoongoza katika Central Business District ya Nairobi. Abiria walikabiliwa na muda mrefu wa kusafiri, mabadiliko ya ratiba za usafiri wa umma, na bei za juu. Biashara zilikuwa na shida kutokana na kuchelewa kwa bidhaa. KeNHA ilishauri madereva kufuata maagizo ya polisi wa trafiki na walinzi. Sasa, trafiki inatarajiwa kuboresha hatua kwa hatua, ikipunguza shinikizo kwenye njia mbadala.
