Serikali ya Kenya yaimarisha hatua za dharura dhidi ya Ebola

Serikali ya Kenya imeimarisha maandalizi yake ya kukabiliana na mlipuko wa Ebola katika Jamhuri ya Kidemokrasia ya Congo na Uganda.

Waziri wa Afya Aden Duale alisema mfumo wa kitaifa wa usimamizi wa dharura umeanzishwa kupitia Taasisi ya Kitaifa ya Afya ya Umma. Vituo vya operesheni za afya ya umma viko katika hali ya tahadhari katika ngazi za kitaifa na kaunti.

Zaidi ya wasafiri 34,500 wamefanyiwa uchunguzi katika vituo vya kuingia nchini. Hii ni pamoja na abiria wa kimataifa 18,552 na madereva wa malori 2,514.

Maabara maalum za kupima Ebola zimeandaliwa katika KEMRI Kisumu, KEMRI Nairobi na Maabara ya Kitaifa ya Afya ya Umma. Serikali imeshirikiana na Uganda, DRC, WHO, Jumuiya ya Afrika Mashariki na CDC Africa.

Hakuna kisa cha Ebola kilichothibitishwa nchini Kenya. Kaunti kama Turkana na Busia zimeimarisha maandalizi yao katika mipaka na hospitali.
