KICD gives principals seven days to submit Grade 10 data

The Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development has directed all public senior school principals to submit updated Grade 10 enrollment figures and textbook data within seven days. The move supports the second phase of textbook distribution under the government's one-to-one policy.

KICD Chief Executive Officer Charles Ong'ondo issued the notice on Friday, June 12. The first phase of Grade 10 textbook distribution is complete, based on initial Ministry of Education data. Principals must now confirm actual student numbers per subject and textbooks received.

Submissions are due by June 19, 2026, through an online form at forms.office.com/r/MqThQtBxQh. Schools that have already provided the information do not need to resubmit. Cases of shortages or excess books should be reported to bookdistribution@kicd.ac.ke.

The data will help identify discrepancies and ensure learners receive required materials by the end of the first term of 2026.
